I'm not a democrat. I'm not a republican. I can make up my mind without being brainwashed to believe what the "handbook" tells you. That's all. I will say, though, that Fox News is the devil and MSNBC wants to be where Fox is at.
A good day of work and wash. It was beautiful out again, with a forecast predicting even better weather as the week goes on. I can't wait. No new news to report outside of that.

The best things in life are simple. They can be free, yes, but simplicity reigns supreme. For instance, waking up after a great sleep with a smile on your face; that's a good day. So for no reason besides that, it was a good day. I'm a simple kind of guy. Haha.
Oh, also, apparently Tom Izzo is being considered for the open Oregon coaching job. Rumor has it they're ready to offer him the richest contract in college basketball history. I'm thinking even that isn't enough to get him go leave MSU. I'm more concerned about the Butler game this Saturday. You can't beat the Final Four.

GO STATE!!! I was watching a lot of random sports programming the last few days and almost everyone had MSU losing to NIU tonight. Suck it. Haha. It was a great game to watch, especially with State taking control late. Definitely a grind-it-out type win. Tennessee is going to be tough, but we'll get to them on Sunday. If anyone is wondering, yes, I'm going to be busy on Sunday at 2:20pm. Last Big Ten team standing. Classic.

It's hard having friends that are into the same sort or things you are. As soon as a sexy new piece of technology comes onto the market, they wet your appetite with some tech specs. Then comes the reviews. Then the actual tests. Before you know it, you're making plans to sell some old equipment to get more money to buy said product that isn't even out yet. I'm not saying I'm going to buy a T2i...but I'm not saying I'm not going to buy one, either. Man...it sure can shoot some sexy footage...
In other news, Perfect Dark from the X-Box Arcade is amazing. Just how I remember it from the 64.
In other, other news, there was yet ANOTHER fantasic tourney game tonight. Kansas State ended up beating Xavier in double-OT after some unbelievable shots were made to force extra innings. If you watch SportsCenter, you'll see what I'm talking about. Man, this year has been amazing. Michigan State plays tomorrow night...without Kalin Lucas. Fingers are crossed.

On a day like today you'd love to go outside. I was in front a computer again. I really wish there was something interesting to report or to write on, but at this point, nothing is coming to mind. Maybe tomorrow will bring some new and exciting news.

The only thing better than a birthday dinner is a day after your birthday dinner. Why? Because it's a free meal with the same intentions. Unfortunately, SOME people won't allow other people to pay for said dinner, so a different present had to be given. It is what it is, SON. Anyway, other than the errands and food in the evening, I did some more computer work. Also, I'm not sure what I've been eating recently, but my stomach has NOT been agreeing with it. Still, I love me some food.

Happy Birthday CHAD!
That is the really only important thing to mention today. Other than that and some work on the computer, today was basically the same as the others. OH, one thing. My pal Josh may actually be coming into town in mid-April. I heard from him early today and we tried getting some plans set up. He just needs to see about work and some money he's owed and confirmation might occur later this week. Definitely some awesome news.

Michigan State gave me two different heart attacks today. Needless to say, it ended up working out in the end. But WHY did it have to be with a shot that left Lucious' hands with .5 seconds to go in a game we were down 1 point. It took me a good 5 to 10 minutes to settle down after that to calm down after all of the cheering and celebrating. Unfortunately, we lost Kalin Lucas for the rest of the post season. Next up, Northern Iowa!?

What a day of basketball. Viewing-wise, that is. Bracket-wise, I'm finished. But watching Kansas go down made the day worth it! Now...here's hoping State can get passed Maryland. Oh man...our road to the Final Four MAY have gotten easier.
I went over to Ryan and Krista's place for the games. Mike and my pal Todd were already there and a friend of Krista's arrived later. Ryan made burgers, dogs, and steaks on the grill. So delicious. It didn't matter that it was snowing outside, the simple fact I had been wearing sandals during the week called for a cookout of some sort.
What a good day.

As I predicted, today was a killer for my bracket. Luckily, every team that lost and I had moving forward, I had losing in the next round anyway. In the long run, it wasn't that bad after all. Unfortunately, the amount of amazing OT, last-second-shot games compared to yesterday were lacking.
Nothing else much to report. I hung out at Chad's place where Derek, Nick, and Mike stopped on by. Had some ice cream cake. Really, just a good time.
Oh, and MSU gave me another heart attack.

Wow. What a day, folks. By that, I mean it was probably the best first day of NCAA tourney basketball I've ever seen. Great games being decided by the last shot, overtimes, upsets, everything. There always seemed to be a great, grind-it-out type game on with only a couple becoming blowouts - and even those were interesting thanks to the seeding. The bad thing about this is now I'm hoping Friday can live up to Thursday...and that's near impossible. In fact, I'd be happy if the rest of the tournament lived up to everything that happened today. Just awesome. Oh, and so far, my bracket isn't doing too bad. We'll see how long that lasts (I'm predicting not long at all).

Another day, more errands and work to do. So that's what I did. The only big thing that happened to me (besides not caring about St. Patrick's Day) was having a great lunch and getting together a bracket to throw into a couple pools. How am I going to do? Who the @* knows this year.

I'm writing now because I feel if I wait until later I'm just going to pass out. I didn't get much sleep last night, but it's all good. Started the day by running over to Brad's and jumping to Twelve Oaks so he could get a MacBook. Said goal was accomplished fairly quick and then it was lunch time. We got back to his house, got the machine running and updated, and then I was off to get some work done. But first, a much needed car wash on a beautiful day and a trip to Guitar Center to FINALLY get some new acoustic strings. I'm not joking when I say it's been over a couple years. For some reason, I just never got around to it. I got back, got on the computer for a bit, had a great dinner, and now am thinking about getting more food or checking out the Netflix. Got to love the Netflix.

You know, getting organized is time consuming. I'm just saying it definitely pays to have a system and do periodical cleaning every now and again. That was the main job of the day, continue getting organized. Of course there was computer work inbetween, but that always seems to be the case. After a few good meals and some late night Netflixin' it's about time for bed. Tomorrow should be more of the same, but who knows.

Today was do your taxes day. Well, it was help Brad as he did my taxes day. Haha. Either way, it was finally done and I really appreciated the help. Afterward I headed over to Bran and Lo's for some dinner and a little game night. It was a great day that unfortunately had one less hour than normal. Freaking daylight savings.
Oh, also, March Madness offically started today by releasing the teams that will take place in the tourney this year. MSU has a tough road ahead. Damn.

Today was all about Joe's sister's wedding. I got to his parent's place around 2:40 and met up with everyone. That included FINALLY meeting his girlfriend, Matti. This should have happened months ago, but due to unforseen circumstances (strict hospital desk clerks and fatigue) it just didn't. Anyway, we hung out there for a while then it was off to the chapel for the ceremony and reception, which took place at the same venue. Both were great, especially the food. Mmmm...can't beat the buffet style set-up. Love it. I headed out a bit early to get things situated at home and am now headed to bed for work tomorrow. I hate losing a hour...

What a good ol' day it turned out to be. Some running around and banking done early, a late lunch and small home improvements at Brandon and Laura's in the afternoon, a movie with Richie later on, and hanging out at Brad's until much later at night. By the time I got home all of the sporting events had come to an end and, unfortunately, the results were a little terrible. Hell, I'm not going to lie, they sucked. The only saving grace was the Pistons winning and Will Bynum getting 20 assists in the game. Still, not a bad day.

I swear, shelves have something against me. Well, Brandon, too. Shelves have something personal against Brandon and I. If we ever put a shelf up right the first time with nothing going wrong, I'll buy everyone who reads this a drink. It seems like every single time we've tried installing something that simple in their new house, we've always ran into a road block. Today it was faulty designing of the brackets that were meant to hold said shelf. It will probably be returned tomorrow and then I'll be back trying to do it all over again. I don't mind, though. It's fun. I say that, but I'm not the one who has to patch all of the holes. Heh.
Other than that, I did some work in the afternoon, grabbed some grub with Chad in the evening, and got online to finish out the night.

Yesterday was a last ditch effort, I'm not going to lie. Haha. I was pretty damn tired and almost forgot to blog it up. Today will be a little different.
It started out the way you'd expect, with a little food and work. Then I got online and met up with Brandon and Matt on the CoD. Then, around the middle of the afternoon, I got around to buying tickets to see Lupe Fiasco in Royal Oak in mid-April. Can't wait for that one. Hell, there's even a good chance a friend from New York will be coming to visit and go to the show.
As the night winded down I finished running a few errands, dropped off Star Trek to Brandon at work, and hung out with Chad at his place for a little. Then it was to Taco Bell for some Baja Gordita action and home to eat. I still agree with Rhett - the best item on the TB menu.

Oh, March 8, such a crazy date. I forgot to mention yesterday that my cousin was married in Las Vegas. It just so happened to be one month to the date that Brad and Colleen were. Pretty cool. Unfortunately things were too busy for me to make the trip, but my sister was there and sent some photos to my Mom. Congrats, Kelsey.
Today was more of the same. Work, food, online time, work, food, chillin'. You know, it's always around this time that start to get that feeling in my stomach. What to eat.

I'm sitting in Brandon and Lo's house watching the Academy Awards. So far nothing surprising. I'm glad Christoph Waltz won for Inglorious Basterds. Now as long as Avatar DOESN'T win Best Picture, it'll be all good. Haha.

I wonder what it takes to have your iPhone turn off your house lights remotely? Hmmm.
Sleeping in can be fun. Just throwing that out there. Today consisted of a computer, washing machine, dryer, and a lot of driving around. I met up with Ryan and Krista later on in the evening and ended up heading with then to Best Buy where they bought a nice sized Samsung LCD. 55". Not too bad at all. I'm excited to see how it looks in their apartment. After stopping by briefly at Brandon and Laura's I drove home, ate some foods, and now I'm in bed watching Vampire Weekend on SNL and trying to fall asleep before 6:10am comes.

No closet cleaning today. Nope, today was allocated for errand running, work, and home improvement. The first was taken care of early, the second was given the late afternoon/early evening, and the third was finished just about 30 minutes ago. Now I'm craving BWW's or Taco Bell. Hmmm...

Well, a little late on this one. Haha. Oh well, nothing much to speak of. The only thing that happened of any importance is I cleaned out my closet. Literally. I can honestly say that at the family garage sale this summer I am going to have some stuff to SELL. A lot of it. And don't laugh, because that one job took the majority of the afternoon.
Outside of that, I did some work on the computer. Saw the Tigers won their first official Grapefruit League against the Blue Jays. Pistons lost again. I'm still in good spirits.

It's the third month of the year and I guess everything is going pretty well thus far in 2010. The morning started heading over to Brandon's place to get the electronics in order since they cable/satellite was getting installed. After the computer gave us a few problems, we were finally able to get online and start interneting up the Blu-ray player, X-Box, and anything else that needed it. It involved extending an ethernet cord through the basement and putting some small holes in the floor, but it was worth it. As soon as I got home I had a small bite to eat, laid down for a bit, and now I'm getting hungry again. I loves me some food.
