What did you do to entertain yourself on this Saturday? If your answer was work, do laundry, pay off a credit card, and watch some college basketball, then we have a lot in common. If you did anything else, then I don't want to talk to you. As you have probably guessed, I'm still on the computer trying to finish up some stuff. We'll see how long this goes until I head to bed for an early morning at the Buy tomorrow. I'm actually a little tired, too. CRAZY! It's only around 9:45.

You know, I did a bit of everything today. Rearranged my banking, renewed my drivers license, worked on the computer, got a haircut, hung out with some friends, cleaned the house a bit, and now, getting ready to eat some more foods. Oh, also, there's a great Boston/Atlanta game on right now. Joe Johnson just score at the 1:25 mark in the 4th to make it a 7 point Hawks lead. Jamal Crawford just stole the ball and dunked to make it 97-88. Awesome. The Pistons on the other hand...

Nothing like finishing tasks that should have been taken care of a while ago; in particular, me taking in my laptop which has been out of order for a while now. I figured I'd be nice to take on the trip, if possible. If not, no biggie. Anyway, that started my day. The rest was spent finishing additional running around and hanging out with Brandon, Matt, Laura, and Ryan (who stopped on by for a bit). Back home and ready to warm up in front of the tele before bed. Tomorrow I plan on getting my bi-annual haircut, grabbing a check, do some banking, finish up more overdue errands, and maybe catch a film up at Kettering. Hmmmm.

The flight is booked, plans have been made, and driving has been arranged. All is a go for February 4 through the 10. I'll be in Vegas, then Redlands, then Whittier. Man, I cannot WAIT! Now I just have to finish everything on my to-do list before hand. This includes getting my bi-annual haircut, renewing my drivers license, finishing some more side projects, and cleaning up the rest of the attic stuff. Not too daunting of a task, but you never know.
Oh, by the way, MSU remained undefeated in the Big Ten today. They barely beat Michigan after Kalin Lucas sunk a clutch 2 pointer to go up 1 with 3.5 seconds left in the game. I know road games are tough in college basketball, and especially in the Big Ten, but it shouldn't have been that close. We turned the ball over 10+ more times than the U of M. Sloppy play, but we got the win. Luckily.

I slept in today and still was pretty tired even after geting up. After some attic-item rummaging, an oil change, and some computer work, it was time for a late dinner and some CoD with friends. It's gotten to the point where we can't play with everyone on the same team. Just too many people online at once. An interesting problem to have, for sure.

Colts vs. Saints at the Super Bowl. Whichever teams has the worst odds, that's the team I'm putting money in Vegas. Can't wait. It might have been a different story if the Vikings could of held onto the ball. Still, should be a good game.

Brad called me yesterday morning and mentioned that he and Colleen were thinking about getting married in Vegas on February 7th. I received a text this morning that confirmed it. That date also marks 10 years to the date that they've been together. An amazing feat for anyone, especially when they started at such a young age. Think about it for a second...a couple since the age of 15. Wow.
So that's the big news of the day. I'll be heading to Vegas on February 7th to see two great friends get married. Sorry, Super Bowl. Haha.
Oh...apparently Michigan State won early in the day. That makes them 7-0 in Big Ten play, not to mention gives them their 8th straight win. Now, MSU is not a finished product yet, but their great start against teams they should beat is a good sign. We have a very back loaded schedule, so strap on your seat-belts.

Here's the deal: I'm going to type something really fast and you're going to read it. Cool? Cool. Today I captured a lot of footage on my computer and it took all afternoon. In between switching out the tapes I did some laundry, visited with Brandon, and played CoD. Haha. There was a decent amount of CoD playing. I'm about to have some amazing cheese and bread that was left over from the French Laundry. SO GOOD!

I admit, all of this late night controversy is making for some of the best monologues I've been witness to in a LONG time. The NBC bashing never gets old, especially when it's coming Conan himself. So basically, we've got NBC and Leno in one corner, Conan, Kimmel, Letterman, Ferguson, and everybody else on the other. The "CoCo" rallies that have been held are hilarious. From this point on, I will not be missing a Tonight Show until Leno takes it back. Then...helllloooooo Fox.
Today was busy. Got up and cleaned around the house. Left for Flushing early in the afternoon to film a spot at a retirement home. Got back and captured the footage while my computer was working properly (meh). Ran back out to grab some food with a friend, finished some errands, and got back to the house feeling oddly tired. For me, this is weird. It's not even 9:50pm right now. C'MON, MAN! Anyway, it's looking like I'll be pretty busy the next few days trying to get work done. I like this.
Also, if you haven't watched THIS yet, please do.

What does one do a day after their birthday? Well, he sleeps in. That is until it's time to head out to Fenton. Why Fenton? Because that's around where my Aunt, Uncle, and little cousin are looking to get a new house. We all hoped into a car to go take a look at the property. I have to say, it's very nice. The house was about 2600 sq. ft. upstairs and 1600 downstairs. Hell, the basement was basically an extremely spacious apartment. Then there was the barn/giant garage, huge back porch, and yard leading to the lake. All in all, a great piece of land. Here's hoping they get it. Next it was dinner time. The French Laundry filled everybody up, and more. We left with a loaf of bread and some amazing cheese spread. I'll be snacking on that later tonight. Guaranteed. We got back to our house and mingled for a bit. Some cards were played and laughs had. Always a good time with this crew. They left soon after and my friend Meagen stopped on by. She came equipped with birthday wishes and presents, including a couple film books and a great postcard calendar - one with picture of cute animals with bad news attachments. The night is winding down now, and I have a lot to do in the morning.

I turned 25 today. That means everything in the realm of cars. I can now rent a vehicle and my insurance goes down by a ton. Good day, indeed.
I started out putting things back in the attic. Throughout the rest of the morning/afternoon I was on my phone talking to friends, texting, etc. Classic. Later on I headed over to Brad and Colleen's for dinner and a little chatting. Then it was back home by 7 for cake and ice cream with the family. Songs were sung, a candle was lit and extinguished, and cards were opened. After a few games of cards everyone headed out and now I'm sitting here taking in the day.

Well, after spending a good afternoon with Joe and his family, I'm back, baby. Well, I'm back now. In between Port Huron and my house I went over to see Brandon, Laura, and Matt. Laura had made some dinner and we had birthday cupcakes from Oliver T's. Excuse me, we had GIGANTIC birthday cupcakes. After that we played some cards, a little Wii, hung out, and then I jumped in the cold car and here I am. Again, a great day. Tomorrow should be fun too with the family getting together.

I left early on this morning for Port Huron to hang out with my buddy Joe. He had just purchased a house about 2 weeks ago and I wanted very badly to check it out. So after a little drive I pulled into the drive way and go the tour. His friend Justin met us and we headed out to do a little errand running. Once we finished we got back to the house and installed his TV and Blu-Ray player. Then it was off to pick up Andrew and head to a Port Huron Icehawks game. The Icehawks are the local minor league hockey team that happens to be first in their division. Anyway we got to our seats (some with horns) and proceeded to watch a pretty nice comeback by the home team. They were down 3-1 in the 1st period and rattled off 5 straight goals the next 2 for an end result of 6-3. Domination. They are now 15-2 at home and I can see why. Next, we all headed on back to Andrew's and played a little CoDMW2 on the PS3 until it was time to go bowling. I originally wasn't going to pick up a ball, but when we arrived, I gave in. Surprisingly, I ended up bowling a 117. For me...that's amazing. On top of that, I got 4 strikes in a row at one point. It would have been 5, but I accidently bowled during someone else's turn. So, officially, it was 4...but it could have been 5. We then said our goodbyes and am in the car headed back to Joe's. Overall a busy and great day. Now...time for food and a movie before bed.

Here we go again, folks. Day 366.
Today was actually a bit out of the norm. I did work in the morning, but soon there after received a call from my pal Ryan. He had finished with the majority of his appointments and wanted to get together to watch the State game later. So I stopped a bit early, jumped in the shower, and hit the road with him. Stopped by the store to grab some supplies that I needed, ran back to his place, and then headed on back home. We hung out for a bit and then the game started. An entertaining game to be indeed, even more so because we WON! Next up, undefeated (in the Big 10) Illinois on Saturday. YESSIR!!! After that we made our way back to Ryan's to get some supplies for his trip and headed on back until now. Now being 1:05am, and now being about 30 min. away from when he has to leave for Costa Rica. Good times. Hell, Brandon even stopped on by and played a little CoD with us. You know, just passing the time. All in all, a really good day. Can't complain. Expect pictures soon, guys. I'm sorry. I've got to get back.

Unlike some people, I accomplished my goal.
As for today, I did work. I worked and worked at the computer, waited for videos to render, and had a great few meals. I'm thinking it's about time for a some CoDMW2 action. RHETT, GET A DAMN XBOX!!!
Either tomorrow or the next day I'll try to get some pictures on here for the first time in a while. You know, just of different things that have happened over the last year that I never did get a chance to post. I'll probably go as far back as the moving of Tori out to Cali.
For now, I want to thank those of you who've stayed with this dull blog for the last 365 days. Thank you to Rhett for giving me the idea. Thank you to both Meg and Mike for doing what you do. And thank you to the rest of you (all 10!). Without you, none of this would have been possible.
Wait...hey, Rhett, don't I get a prize or something for going through with this? You know...like you buying me a HPX or something?

I really dislike the Education Connection commercials that constantly run on ESPN. Just terrible.
The only meaningful thing today involved seeing friends. First with Brandon and Laura then with Ryan, Eric, and Andrea. In fact, I was over at Eric's until around 1. Got online for a bit after that and am now headed to bed. I'm very, very tired. Yup, so tired I used 2 "very"s.

I have to wake up pretty early tomorrow, so I have no idea why I'm still up. Anyway, today I got a little bit done on the computer and hung out until we went out to Outback for some dinner. We had some gift cards we received for Christmas that needed to be used before Tori leaves for California again - which is tomorrow. Tomorrow in the early afternoon to be specific. Three weeks sure goes by fast, not to mention a year.
In other news, Michigan State beat Iowa, The Cowboys and Jets advanced in the playoffs, the Pistons lost AGAIN, and I only was able to see a little bit of each game. Well, a decent amount of MSU, but bits and pieces of everything else. That's it. I'm done.

You know, after spending the entire afternoon and early evening in Owosso, I feel pretty accomplished. Well, at least for the day. We basically sat down, made some decisions to become more efficient, and finished up about 4 spot liners so I have something to go off of. Hopefully within the next few days I'll be able to get those all knocked out and get paid. BOOM!
I'm hungry, now. I suppose it's time to make some dinner.

The weather outside is frightful. Very frightful. Extremely frightful. Let's just say it wasn't a fun time driving home this evening. In fact, soon after arriving, I canceled plans I had to go out with some friends. It wasn't worth it. Haha. So today I grabbed some lunch with Brandon, struggled to keep the van in control, got back home, stayed in, got online for a bit, tried paying attention the the BCS National Championship game (which Alabama won), and am now typing away on the blog. So...it's 2010 and stuff is good so far. Plans were changed earlier this afternoon so I'm going out to Owosso tomorrow. Then again...if the roads stay the way they are...who knows.

Well, today was the last time I would be able to hang out with Rhett until (a) I get a plane ticket or (b) he comes back to visit. So, after taking care of some stuff at home, I met him, Jesse, and their pal Joe up at Redwood Lodge for some delicious steak. After, we headed back to Owosso where Nick, Jon, and Jesse had a show at Guido's. Hung out there for a bit, took some iPhone video for shits-and-giggles, and bought a brownie. Let me tell you...it was one tasty brownie. I then said my goodbye's and headed to Brandon and Laura's where we proceeded to beat the last level of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Then it was time for the secret level. Man, I think I may have to get that game. Work early tomorrow and, hopefully, more good times.

Happy 2010 fellow readers. What a way to start the new year. By that I mean, why am I not asleep yet? Hey, it's been a good first of the year so far. There were some good football games on, I got to go check out Avatar in IMAX 3D for free, and hung out with some friends and played Mario Bros. Wii for the remainder of the evening. Like I said, a great day. Oh, and getting back to Avatar, if you see this film, you HAVE to go in IMAX 3D. Absolutely breathtaking. I liken this to the first time you watched Jurassic Park and saw what computer generated imagery could do. From the very first minutes of this movie, you'll understand what I'm saying. Visually, it's amazing. And now...sleep.
